Therapy-A Space to Feel Understood
I am a firm believer that shame disappears and healing occurs when our stories are told in safe spaces.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns that are not serving you anymore, or unsure why certain emotions, reactions or behaviours keep showing up in your life and relationships. Part of you may be ready for something to shift, while another part feels hesitant or unsure about how to move forward. Both of these feelings are welcome here.
Therapy can be a place where you don’t have to hold everything on your own—where you can begin to gently explore what is overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to move through. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
What therapy can look like
A collaborative process
Our work together will be collaborative and paced in a way that feels manageable for you.
We begin with what’s present, what feels most important, or what’s asking for your attention. We gently explore these areas together.
What therapy may support
Along the way, you may begin to:
• Gain clarity around patterns that feel hard to understand
• Develop tools and strategies to navigate challenges
• Feel more grounded and supported in your day-to-day life
• Build a deeper understanding of your own experiences
Feeling seen and understood
Above all, my intention is that you feel seen, heard, and valued throughout the process.
My approach
Trauma-informed therapy
I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach that draws from several modalities, including:
Therapeutic approaches I use
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Somatic (body-based) therapy
• Mindfulness
• Solution-Focused Therapy
(IFS), or “parts work,” is a central part of how I understand and support clients.
Understanding different parts of ourselves
Many of us experience different parts of ourselves—parts that feel anxious, parts that try to stay in control, or parts that help us cope in the best way they can.
Rather than trying to push these experiences away, we take time to understand them from a place of curiosity and compassion.
What we might explore together
Reasons people seek therapy
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You might be:
• Feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities or life transitions
• Navigating grief or loss
• Struggling with substance use or addiction
• Managing mental or physical health challenges
• Noticing patterns in relationships that are hard to change
• Wanting to better understand yourself
• Looking for support in maintaining your well-being
